There’s nothing better than glowing skin – am I right ladies? I am a firm believer that when it comes to skincare its so important to know the products you use and what their benefits are.
I am no skincare expert – these are my own opinions, and what works for me. I believe good skin is about persistence. It’s very important that you get into the habit of washing your face every night and removing the impurities of the day. The worse thing you can do is keep all that gunk on your face and not allow your pores to breath at night. I never go to bed with make up on – EVER. Also, no matter the age you should invest in a good serum and day/night moisturizer. Your skin needs to replenish and if you’re not feeding it the right nutrients it will just be dry and dull.
I am constantly asked what I use when it comes to my skin, and what does my daily routine consist of. I have used so many lines like Tatcha, Murad, Neutrogena, but lately I have been using Tula and Beautycounter products and I am so happy. Both lines have only the finest ingredients and free of chemicals. The products have really changed my skin tone and texture, and I highly recommend them. Here is the breakdown of my routine:
Night Time:
Tula Cleanser ($28) – This cleanser is great. It removes all my makeup and you can feel how clean your skin is. I was using Cetaphil as a cleanser for some time and it just didn’t leave my skin feeling that clean. This lathers up very well, and feels so good when you put it on.
Beautycounter Tripeptide Radiance Serum ($79) – After I wash my face, I apply this on dry skin. I can’t say enough about this serum. It’s a natural alternative to retinol which means if you’re pregnant or nursing you can use it. It has worked on fine lines and has helped so much with my complexion.
Tula Beauty Sleep Overnight Repair ($64) – After I apply the serum, I apply a thin layer of this cream. I have not been using it for too long, but I can tell the difference. In the morning I wake up and my skin looks glowy (is that even a word?) and so shiny.
Laniege Lip Sleeping Mask ($20) – Let’s not forget about hydrating those lips! I don’t know about you but in the winter my lips are chapped and so dry. I apply this before I go to bed, and I swear the next day my lips look fuller, rosier, and just plump. The mask stays on my lips all night – it’s the most unbelievable thing!
Is it me or do you feel when you’re in your late 30s early 40s you have the skin of a teenager – if you have a pimple Tula makes this amazing spot pimple treatment which I have used a few times, and it has dried that sucker fast! For $20 the Go Away Acne Spot Treatment does the trick. Be careful to only apply it to the pimple and not anywhere else.
Day Time:
Tula Pro Glycolic 10% Resurfacing Serum ($34) – Just like washing your face at night I always start with a good toner in the morning to remove all the dirt from sleeping to refresh the skin. This serum is amazing. I apply it on a cotton swab and wipe my face. No joke you should see the dirt that comes off after a good night sleep.
Tula Day/Night 24/7 moisturizer ($52) – After my skin is clean from the glycolic serum, I use this as my moisturizer. You can use this both day and night, and honestly before the overnight repair cream that was my main day and night moisturizer. This moisturizer is very hydrating and leaves your skin very soft.
Tula Face Filter/Blurring Primer ($34) – When you pump this it comes out white but when you put it on your skin it creates the most amazing color. I don’t know but it does something so magical. Your pores look better – you skin looks so even. It blurs out those blemishes. You will not believe that it has a tint to it but believe me you will if you don’t wash your hands and wipe them on a clean towel! 😊 On off days I use this as my primary foundation, but I typically wear this under makeup on other days.
Last but not certainly least….
Tula Rose Glow Brightening Eye Balm ($30) – Tula offers two eye balms, but this one is my favorite. You put this under eye after your face primer but before your foundation. It helps with the fine lines and brightens your eyes. It also helps with any black circle or puffiness. Its such a great part of my daily routine.
I am linking everything below that I use plus the Tula starter kit if you want to try some of their popular items like their cleanser and moisturizer. I do have a code for 20% off your first order – https://share.tula.com/x/vKEIMb which you can use. I am not sponsored by either Tula or Beautycounter so this is my very honest opinion on these products.
Of course, aside from great skincare products you should try to get a good night sleep and drink tons of water. If you end up trying any of these products let me know – I would love to hear your feedback.
