I love makeup. I mean it should be no surprise since I am always telling you about makeup and what is the best mascara, or brow liner. During social distancing I have pushed myself to put makeup on everyday and let me know tell you it’s helped so much. I know that if you’re home with the kids, and working time can feel like your enemy, but my Quarantine Make-up Routine takes only 5 minutes and is amazing! Let me break it down for you.
CC CREAM: I am currently obsessed with ItCosmetics right now. Their CC cream is lightweight, and I usually apply it with my fingers, and it enough to cover my face. Somedays I do skip this if I am inside, but I wanted to share it with you especially now with summer coming in. It comes in 3 options -original, illumination and matte- I use the matte option. Not only does it give you coverage, but it has SPF up to 50+.
BROWS: I mean for me brows are the most important part of my makeup routine. When my brows are filled in it make such a difference. Lately I have been obsessing over Benefit Styler Eyebrow Pencil and Powder Duo. I use color 4. I love that it has the pencil for a more defined look, and the powder for a soft look. Most of the time I use both options.
LASHES: When lashes are on point it makes those eyes pop. For a long time, I would just use my mascara and be good. Once I discovered CLIS BOOSTER XL mascara primer by Lancôme it was a game changer. The primer helps elongate the lashes and helps set your mascara. I usually apply two coats after I curl them with my lash curler (cool tip run the curler under hot water or zap it a few seconds with a blow drier). After about 15 seconds I apply my mascara. You know how much I rave about Benefits BADgal BANG! volumizing mascara. I love the wand, and how flexible it is. It just makes applying mascara so easy.
CHEEKS: I think you need to apply some color on those cheeks. My latest two obsessions are from Charlotte Tilbury and NARs. Let’s talk about the Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Blush. The color is so amazing, and I love that bullseye in the middle. You basically start with the edge color and apply to your cheeks. Always apply in an upward motion. Then you just POP your brush on the target and apply that on the apples of your cheek. SO PRETTY! The next blush is by NARs. It’s a liquid blush in my favorite color Torrid. If you have never used a liquid blush don’t worry its so easy. You pump a small amount on your fingers and start tapping it in your skin. The warmth of your fingers will slowly work the blush into your cheeks. I just loved the glow it gives you. Blush is always the first thing to wear off, so ladies don’t be shy with application.
LIPS: You are not able to finish your look without your favorite lipstick or lip gloss. I have two which I am obsessing over now. Buxom Full-ON Plumping Lip Cream Gloss. The color I have been wearing for years is Rose Julep. It’s such an amazing color. It goes with pretty much anything. The other color is Pillow Talk by Charlotte Tilbury. It’s the prettiest nude pink I own.
If you end up getting any of these options let me know what you think, or if you have a current obsession send it to me.
